Battle Creek is a Non-Rental Community, BCHOA Covenants and By-Laws doesn't allow renting of your home or any portion of your home.
No signs may be placed at the entrance to Battle Creek on the east side (entrance side) of John Ward Rd. All signs must be placed on the opposite side of the road from the entrance. The reason for this is the irrigation system for the entrance has been punctured numerous times. It is a costly expense for the subdivision each time it is repaired. Signs that are placed on the entrance side of the subdivision will be removed without notice and disposed of.
Signs may not be taped to street signs.
Filming within the community for a movie or music video personal or professional must have a permit from Cobb County prior to filming, and the HOA must be notified so the all homeowners can be advised.
Yard Sales - As per Cobb County and BCHOA you are allowed to have (3) Yard Sales per year. (keep in mind where sign placement is allowed)
Street Lights - If the street light near your home is out please call Cobb EMC 770-429-2100 for repair.
Pets - Per our covenants and Cobb County ordinance, dogs must be leashed when outside. This is for their safety and the safety of other animals. Please clean up after your pets. This includes the common areas and playground. Fines will be issued if you are found not cleaning up after your pet.
Speeding - Please be mindful that the speed limit in our neighborhood is 25mph. This is pretty fast for our narrow streets. Please watch out for children and pets. Also, please remind your visitors of the 25mph limit.
Street Parking - Street parking is not allowed per our Covenants, except for brief entertainment of guests. There should be NO overnight street parking. Our streets are very narrow and we need to allow room for emergency vehicles (firetrucks, ambulances, etc.) to get through and turn around in cul-de-sacs. If you are entertaining, please make sure cars are parked on only one side of the street.
When the BCHOA Board sends out a letter about repairs to your home, a timely manner should be within 3 months
